Location: Remote (occasional in-person sessions in Edmonton)
Contract Term: March 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027
Extension Possible: Up to 24 months
Workload: Full-time | Up to 1,960 hours/year

 About the Opportunity

Be part of a bold digital transformation journey that’s reshaping how government services are designed, delivered, and experienced. This role sits at the heart of modern digital delivery—where human-centred design, agile thinking, and data-driven decision-making come together to create simpler, smarter, and more effective public services. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to reimagine existing services, explore future opportunities, and deliver meaningful digital solutions that truly serve people.

Your Mission as a Scrum Master

As a Scrum Master, you’ll empower teams to do their best work—removing blockers, enabling collaboration, and fostering a strong agile culture. You’ll work across 2–3 concurrent projects, supporting service innovation, program reviews, and end-to-end digital delivery initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Champion agile values, principles, and best practices across cross-functional teams
  • Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
  • Coach teams on estimation, sprint commitments, dependency management, and continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with Product Owners on road-mapping, release planning, and reporting
  • Remove impediments and resolve conflicts to keep teams focused and productive
  • Track and report delivery metrics using agile artifacts (backlogs, burndown charts, velocity, etc.)
  • Support digital service delivery activities such as user research and usability testing
  • Promote transparency, clear communication, and high-quality delivery at every stage

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills with cross-functional teams
  • Deep understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies and modern digital delivery practices
  • Ability to adapt to evolving requirements, priorities, and service needs
  • Comfortable working remotely with occasional on-site collaboration

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Work on high-impact digital transformation initiatives
  • Influence how large-scale services are designed and delivered
  • Flexible, primarily remote work environment
  • Long-term engagement with potential contract extensions
  • Collaborate with passionate professionals driving meaningful change

If you thrive in agile environments, love enabling teams, and want your work to make a real difference—this is your opportunity to lead change at scale.
